  • Ants

There are many different types of ants. The most common ants we face in the Valley are the Argentine ants, Harvester ants, Fire ants, and Rover ants

Harvester and Fire Ants bite and generally stay outside

Argentine and Rover Ants are found outside but periodically are found in homes.

  • Bees

Bees are a important part of the ecosystem but when they nest in structures they become an unwanted pest.

Africanized bees are vary aggressive and the Honeybee are docile but will attack if provoked

Honeybees & Africanized are about a half-inch long with black & yellow stripes.

  • Crickets

Cricket are a nuisence pest and are the main food source for Scorpions and Black Widows.

Crickets are more active in warm weather and will move indoors in cooler weather.

Crickets are 7/8 of an inch long and are yellowish brown in color

  • Rats

For some people, rats can make good pets. If they are unwanted however, rats can be pests. They pollute food, spread disease, and cause damage by gnawing. Rats are most active at night. If they are seen during the day, there’s a good chance there are more around your home. Rats eat all types of food, including human and pet food..

  • Roaches

Quite possibly the number one disease-carrying, all-consuming, mass-spawning, nocturnal colony critters that nobody ever wants to see on their property. Colonies can live inside any part of a structure. Elimination requires thorough inspection and treatment.

The Coachella Valley commonly faces the American Cockroach and the German cockroach.

American roaches are 1 inch long & brownish red in color.

German roaches are inch long & tan in color with a blonde strip on its head.

  • Spiders

Black widows are notorious spiders identified by the red, hourglass-shaped mark on their abdomens and have a thick tough sticky web.

This spider's bite is much feared because its venom is reported to be 15 times stronger than a rattlesnake's. In humans, bites produce muscle aches, nausea, and a paralysis of the diaphragm that can make breathing difficult; however, contrary to popular belief, most people who are bitten suffer no serious damage—let alone death. The spiders are nonaggressive and bite only in self-defense.

Black widow spiders also use their webs to ensnare their prey, which consists of crickets, flies, mosquitoes, grasshoppers, beetles, and caterpillars. Black widows main food source is the cricket. If you have a lot of crickets around your home or buisness you will have Black Widow Spiders.
